Italian wines, whether dessert wine or table wine, are among the finest in the world. The Veneto region of Northern Italy is a major wine producer, with many top quality Italian wines both consumed and exported each year. Vicenza, right in the heart of Northern Italian wine country, is an excellent place to sample local red wines from the Berici hills or taste prestigious dessert wines like torcolato which is only produced in the nearby wine making town of Breganze. Red wine in the Veneto region such as Cabernet and Merlot is often served as table wine, while white wines like Prosecco and Moscato are more common for dessert wines. We always have some local red wine on hand for dinners at the B&B, or fine dessert wine to welcome our guests.
