Villa Ghellini Located in Villaverla about 15 kilometers from Vicenza, Villa Ghellini was begun in 1664 from a design by architect A. Pizzocaro but later came to a halt in 1679. The villa has a large courtyard with powerful columns and porticoes. The statues lining the staircase are by G. Cassetti, the busts are by G.B. Bendazzoli. |

Castello Porto Colleoni Built in the late 15th century, Castello Porto Colleoni is flanked by towers with pointed battlements. Of particular interest is the Gothic five-light window in the center of the facade. The frescoes on the ground floor of the castle are by G.A. Fasolo and G.B. Zelotti. The hall on the upper floor has numerous paintings of Horses by O Cassana. The little church outside is an example of late 15th century Venetian architecture. |

Villa Godi Valmarana Malinverni Designed by Andrea Palladio in 1540, the central part of this country house is set back from the two wings. Frescoes in the main hall and the Venus room are by G.B.Zelotti and other 16th century artists, whereas the arts room and ground floor were decorated completely by Zelotti. Well worth a visit is the the 19th century art gallery of Italian paintings and the fossil collection of Count Andrea Piovene. |

Villa Capra Bassani Located in Sarcedo about 20 kilometers from Vicenza, Villa Capra Basani was built by scholar Orazio Claudio Capra in 1764 in neo-classicism style. Following in the tradition of Andrea Palladio - Vicenza's most prominent architect, the lovely walkway and park are complemented by the great hall inside the villa. |

Villa Piovene Porto Godi Although designed by Palladio, Villa Piovene Porto Godi was mostly built after his death. The neo-classical park behind the 15th century chapel of St. Gerolamo was the work of architect Antonio Piovene, whereas the two Doric porticoes and stairs leading up to the villa were added by F. Muttoni in the 18th century. |

Villa Forni Cerato One of Palladio's first works, Villa Forni Cerato was built between 1540 - 1545. There is a narrow set of steps leading up to a serliana with well pronounced openings on the surface of the wall. The basrelief of the river gods above the rectangular openings is the work of a sculptor influenced by A. Vittoria. |

Villa Monza Built for the Monza family in 1715 by F. Muttoni, Villa Monza is now the town hall in Dueville - 10 kilometers from Vicenza. This elegant villa hosts a collection of paintings by the Monza family in the large rooms of the first floor. The tympanum has the family coat-of-arms in the middle and supports three statues by Marinali. The middle section of the villa projects slightly over six Ionic columns. |
