Villa Trissino Trettenero Located just outside of Vicenza, Villa Trissino Trettenero was built by nobleman and architect Gian Giorgio Trissino (also mentor of Andrea Palladio and partially responsible for the rise of the young architect) on top of the already existing Badoer Castle. Reminiscent of Rapheael's Villa Madama in Rome, Villa Trissino is flanked by towers with pilasters separating the arches on the ground floor. |

Villa Da Porto Casarotto Built between 1770 and 1776 by O. Calderari, the design of Villa Da Porto Casarotto closely resembles those of Andrea Palladio with majestic columns, elegant pillars and a lovely entrance gate. A good example of the neo-classical style can be seen in the painting by G. Ciesa in the nearby chapel. The Vicenza riding school is located in the side wing, also known as the "barchessa". |

Villa Da Porto Pedrotti Located in Dueville about 10 kilometers from Vicenza, and built in the late 16th century, the architect of Villa Da Porto Pedrotti is unknown. Whoever the architect was, he was certainly influenced a good deal by Andrea Palladio. Architect A. Caregaro Negrin later added the two wings in the 19th century. The landscaping and lovely garden area is very suggestive. |

Villa Valmarana Bressan Located in Monticello Conte Otto Villa Valmarana Bressan boasts a long fascade with a serliana archway in the middle which suggests Palladio's influence. The villa has 18th century frescoes in its magnificent hall, and a wonderful frieze by C. Pasqualotto around the upper part of the central room. The recent discovery of 16th century works of art dates this villa back to the time of Palladio. |

Villa Sesso Schiavo Nardone Located about 15 kilometers from Vicenza in Sandrigo, Villa Sesso Schiavo Nardone has an impressive Doric portico and was most likely the work of one of Palladio's followers. Built in 1570 the 18th century section on the right of the villa was probably built over a pre-existing structure. The interior has recently been restored and boasts 16th century frescoes both from local painters in the Veneto region and other artists. |

Villa Chiericati Lambert Built in the mid 16th century and surrounded by a lovely park, Villa Chiericati Lambert has a neo-classical facade which can be attributed to A. Caregaro Negrin in the 19th century. The small room remaining from the original structure has lovely frescoes by Lodovico Pozzoserrato (the landscape of a garden) and Paolo Veonese (the figure of a valet with greyhound). |

Lower Castle in Marostica Located in Marostica, the lower castle in the main square dates back to 1320 and was built for Cansignorio della Scala. The great walls of the town were built by Scaligeri in 1372 and run from the lower castle to the top of Mount Pasolino where the upper castle lies. Now the town hall, the tower of the lower castle, also known as "La Rocca" (The rock), is covered by ivy and reaches a height of over 30 meters. |
