Jesolo beach resort

Jesolo is a beach resort just north of Venice Italy. This European vacation spot had its roots in Roman times, but about the 15th century began to decline. In 1933 it was reclaimed from the marshes and is now thriving with vacation rentals and hotels for European travelers. Tourists enjoy its climate, its very fine sand, and the pine woods overlooking the sea.

Northern Italians flock to Jesolo in August for their summer vacation, enjoying its beautiful beaches and many sports available like tennis, go-karting, mini-golf, biking, swimming, sailing, wind-surfing, and diving. Many Vicentinos have rental homes and vacation there on weekends.

Along with Treviso and Venice, Jesolo makes for a good day trip from Vicenza and can easily be reached by rental car in just over an hour.
