Behind the Rotonda is a protected “green area” which offers a rare glimpse of local vegetation and plants that have mostly disappeared from the city. At the foot of the Berici hills is an agriturismo which offers locally made dishes like minestrone and bigoli as well as various assortments of salami and cheeses prepared by the farmers themselves, not to mention some fine wines too.  On weekends locals flock to agriturismos for lunch with their families during the summer.  We will climb the steps leading up to Villa Guiccioli and Museo del Risorgimento – a tribute to the fallen heroes and partisans who fought with the resistance during WW1 and WW2.  There are some fine picture taking opportunities as we pass thru the fields where you catch glimpses of Monte Berico and the surrounding hills so keep your cameras handy!
