Vicenza and the Veneto region of Northern Italy are well known for their traditional Italian desserts, with varied dessert menus at local restaurants to top off that great meal you just had. We organize cooking courses here at our little bed & breakfast in Veneto, and have lots of dessert ideas and recipes from Vicenza & Northern Italy. Tiramisu is probably the best known Italian dessert, made with mascarpone cheese, ladyfingers and coffee. Everyone has their own ideas and variations on this traditional Italian dessert, some adding chocolate while others put in grappa. There are many other lesser known dessert dishes in the Veneto region which are equally as tasty however, like crostoli and fritole which are traditionally eaten during Carnival. Other great dessert menus include torta della nonna, and salame al cioccolato, both classic dolci here in Vicenza. |
